Taurus draws from years of refinement at WALDRICH COBURG with a focus on ease of maintenance and troubleshooting. Main electrical cabinets, hydraulic systems, coolant system, chiller system, valves, filters… are all organized for ease of access in the Energy Box. Combined with modern tools like InPro software, energy recovery drive technology, and wear free guildeways the end user will clearly realize lower operating costs.
Fast traverse speeds and chip to chip times of 15 seconds reduce non-machining times to a minimum. The basic machine is equipped with 100 tool locations, options such as expansion to 200 tool locations, tool identification system, and broken tool detection allow for further increases in productivity. For automatic changing of spindle units a shuttle with four locations is provided to accommodate future needs.
Pallet changer
An optional pallet changer is available to allow part set-up in parallel with part machining. The fast double location shuttle takes only 3 minutes to exchange pallets. Extended chip conveyors keep the set-up area clean.
The Interactive Production Support package is used to increase operational efficiency by increasing machine availability and supporting machine safety functions. The INPRO production package supports operators and maintenance personnel with an interactive diagnostic system to quickly locate sources of errors, data logging system to monitor machine data and situational information, and a collision monitoring system to avoid costly machine damage. Part set-up data, part programs, probe measuring data etc. are all linked with a modern network. The machine network along with remote machine diagnostics, TeleService, has been a standard at WALDRICH COBURG for many years.
